ABOUT US
Our story
FORA is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) dedicated to empowering communities in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs), with a focus on Walda location of Marsabit County.
The organization was founded in 2025 by a group of young people committed to strengthening resilience and improving opportunities for communities in Northern Kenya.
Communities in the arid and semi-arid lands face significant challenges including climate change, drought, limited education opportunities, and environmental degradation.
FORA was created to respond to these challenges through locally driven solutions that empower communities and build sustainable livelihoods.
